Ontario Q&A
Thursday, January 31, 2013
My father, Josef, died in 1972 in Toronto. A British citizen he had lived in Canada for about 20 years. We have his death certificate but want to know what department would have reported his death to the authorities in Great Britain, and how. Also if any effects, such as a passport, would have been sent to the UK or retained and archived in Canada.
