My uncle name was Edward Conway born 1921 died 1945, in India served in the Canadian army. Married to Gladys Margaret Conway of London, Ontario. My question is how do I go about finding their children, and their children's children.

To the list of things to check include London city directories (available at London Public Library). Start with the last known year of contact (1945?) and search forward to see if they remained in the city or not.

If Edward died while serving in the Canadian Army you can request a copy of his service file from Library & Archives Canada.

Can anyone tell me how to go about searching for the burial place of my father's aunt who was a Franciscan Sister? She was born in Maine, USA, and died there in the 1930s. In 1930, she was a nurse in the hospital in her hometown of Eagle Lake, ME, located in the northern part of the state. I can find no death records but, before my father passed, he mentioned that he thought she was buried somewhere in Canada. He remembered something about her brother having to take her to her Mother House, in Canada, for burial. Since I have no idea as to the location of the Mother House, how would I go about locating her burial place?

According to Wikipedia the motherhouse in Canada is located in Toronto. Their website is called the Sisters of St Joseph of Toronto, contact them and ask about burials.

I would like to obtain a copy of my deceased grandfathers birth certificate. He was born in London, Ontario in 1912 before emigrating to UK. Can i do this and who do i contact.

Births that occurred less than 92 years ago are protected under the Privacy Act and can only be obtained by next-of-kin or the executor of the estate (proof required). I am from New Zealand & am trying to trace my great grandfather's ancestors. I have found him in 1861, 1871 1891 & 1901 for Lambton County & Middlesex Counties. I have his death registration information - 1904. His parents, however, are not mentioned. Where would I go to find that information. He was Mennonite & his parents are listed as being born in Ontario.

His marriage registration - they usually list the names of parents. Obituary - it usually lists the names of family, perhaps even siblings that you can trace and see if their records mention the names of their parents. There are many resources besides census and death registrations that can be used to find this information.

I have an ancestor who is Huron indian from the London, Ontario area born about 1841. She married my great, great grandfather who came over from England as a soldier with the Kings Royal Rifles 4th Battalion in 1857. Where do I find information about my native ancestors.
